Richie Bros was nice to me - $5500 for a new tanker - now I can do service work!

    Check out the underside!

Every wheel has brand new brakes and shocks plus a handful of S-cams

Something cool I came across today. I’m part of a project to capture flare gas to re-sell it….. here’s where it gets interesting.

Any gas they can’t capture, they use natural gas turbines to create energy to mine Bitcoin & Etherum right on location.

The farms are located inside those sea cans.

Why can't they capture & sell all of the flare gas? Is it a matter of merchantability or just plain volume?

Volume, this site makes roughly 13,000,000 units of gas a day. This brand new mobile plant can only capture between 4-6M / day.

This is a prime example of why I think the government should be offering tax incentives to companies that sell all of their merchantable gas. After all, it's not cheap to build gathering pipelines or to truck it off location. This is also why I think politicians are FOS when they say that we have to do something about methane emissions from the oilfield but they don't propose anything, like my above suggestion, that would make it more attractive for companies to market their gas rather than flare it.

Flareing also burns off the many poisonous gases that come out of a well. If not flared off, those poisons would have to be pumped into storage, then hauled away, to be flared somewhere else.

They do that already, hence why they built this mobile capturing plant.

It quite the cycle, they catch this gas, government gives them “credits” then companies who drill new wells will use gas to power their drill rigs ( instead of diesel ) and they get the “green credits” transferred to them.

It’s pretty lucrative too. Any gas they capture is “free” for them to do what they please and their trailers hold between $8000-$12,000 of this gas that they in turn get to sell to their customers now.

But again, this plant was almost $6,000,000 to built, not including R&D to actually design it so it’s quite the investment to get it off the ground. This will be the second well I’ve had to transport it to so this pilot project is doing better than expected….enough to have another one of these built and a smaller version slated to be designed for smaller wells.
