For temporary placement of MC#, USDOT, company name, on the side of a truck has anyone used poster board with permanent marker? Just seeing if this is, first legal and second practical considering rain and wind.

I've seen it. Put clear tape over it. Increase of rain.

Be more professional looking than some of the printer paper ones I've seen.
singlescrewshaker Thanks this. -
You can print it on a piece of paper and tape it to passenger window.

A guy I knew would write on brown box cardboard with black marker, wrap the sign in sandwich wrap, then duct tape it to the door of his Frightliner cabover.
Nice guy, hard runner, but it looked shady af......singlescrewshaker and stillwurkin Thank this. -
My favorite is black magic marker right on the paint. A close 2nd is shoe polish on the window.
Legal though, as long as can be seen from 50' away..
^^Agreed, looks shady..

Some look like they've been that way for years..stillwurkin Thanks this.
