I can’t find the thread but I thought I read that swift didn’t want there drivers filling up at pilot stations. Swift fills up at loves and TA, is this correct?. What about branded stations or mom & pops? are those a no no.

They fuel at whoever accepts their payment. When you are in route and need fuel asap. But they need to approve.

Yeah you're correct that Pilot/Flying J are not on their preferred list. They are emergency only. There was a big blowup a few years ago about them supposedly screwing Swift over on fuel surcharges.

We fuel at Loves, and TA/Petro along with some company terminals, but that is it unless an emergency situation. If you are in that situation, you can stop at any station that accepts Comdata, ask them for their Comdata code, call On-road and they can open up a 50 gallon emergency stop at whatever station you're at. But that's only if you're in a true situation where that's all you've got available and you're legitimately about to run out of fuel.

About the only 2 places you might have a Pilot/Flying J fuel stop is if you are in Montana or near Casper, WY when you need fuel.

Sometimes I will ignore the scheduled fuel stops and call for fuel when only a Pilot or Flying J is available, just to get some points and a shower credit.

Sometimes the fuel program will try to divert me far away to get fuel at 'approved' places, sometimes adding 100 miles and a couple hours to my route.
I don't put up with that. I go the best route and call for fuel when I need it.

As far as I know the people that did that stunt a few years back have been dealt with. The feud needs to end.
