    Hello all
I have two John Q president CB radios one of them turns on but supposedly has a squeal. The other one does not turn on at all and would be used for parts.
before anybody says anything I understand you can buy a new cb for cheaper than what you can get these fixed for or even find somebody to fix them at all but I’m restoring an old cab over and I want everything to be as close to period Perfect as possible. I live in St. Louis and just want to know if anybody on this forum knows somebody that would repair these or make one good one out of the two without screwing me over.
My local cb shop doesn’t have very good people skills or reviews…
    Thanks BinderDave

Most likely you have a mic issue, the radio is from around '77 but I think it would be better to get a really ugly 70s radio to put in there.
