    Well, one way to look at it is; if it's the megas that jump on this, think of how many moron steering wheel holders we'll be rid of.

    The most obvious place to put them is still any place that's legally private property.

    Ports, DCs, yards, where if you get run over by one then the liability is on you for not observing company safety policy. (ie, the yellow painted right of way is for robot trucks only. If you park on it or walk on it and get run over by by an autonomous vehicle? It's your fault.) You couldn't pull that kinda legal nonsense on public roads.

    Also jobs like that are great for drivers that like regular schedules and home time so getting rid of those jobs would force more drivers to go OTR and suppress wages by getting more drivers in the field (if I'm figuring supply/demand right?).
