2017 KW, 435,000 miles, 2016 isx15 2350. I think my turbo is going out and was hoping someone could give me a ball park on the replacement cost. It's probably a good idea to have the actuator replaced at the same time from what I've been reading.

That's good news, I was thinking this job would be over $10,000.

A junk yard Cummins VGT. Now thats what I call gambling.......

Last I saw the turbo alone was north of 4k from Cummins. No actuator and not installed.

Shop job out the door with a new actuator will probably run you around 6 or 7 total.

Man that's steep. Thank you for the information. You just helped me decide to not buy a redhead. I'll stick with Mack and Detroit. I'm already paying too much for the redhead at home.

To expand, would you guys go to a cummins shop, KW shop, or an independent for an accurate diagnosis and turbo replacement? I assume they might need to put it on a dyno, the problem only really kicks in under load between like 20-30psi.

Cummins or KW, unless you have a good mechanic not affiliated with either that you trust.

Find a Cummins shop with a dyno. If its not throwing any codes and only acting up under load, they may need the dyno to find it.
