I didn't ask for follow-up information (and i don't intend to), but i just got this message today saying that any new trainees that finish training and upgrade to a full position will be required to work teams instead of going solo.
Most likely only applies to company drivers, though. In my experience, dispatchers at prime don't always communicate clearly, so it's possible there's missing or incorrect information.
Prime no longer hiring solo divers

Whow, wondering if they're simply trying to save on their overhead expenses? It would make sense in these times and shows a sign of the times in the industry.

Does that only apply to the reefer division? I can't imagine teaming flatbed, tanker, or hopper. Freight's down, so its more profitable to run teams than solos. When the money isn't quite as good, it may better to run more miles if possible.

I have thought about going to Prime in the past, earlier in my career, and I'm glad that I did not to avoid being forced into team driving.
