You have no clue how much time Sazook has spent on the pad. He would know. Time while his student practices with other instructors and their students... And time waiting around with all the students and their instructors while they wait the turn to take the state exam.
Especially the instructors comparing notes on what the test proctors are focusing on and when and where their students are getting "dinged" on the tests. -
Thanks for confirming you have some BS artists over there. I would have never guessed it. -

To be honest, I believe that the FM told him that 90% fail the pre-trip, and I'd bet that the FM knew it wasn't true. If you get told that 90% fail a test that you're going to have to take, you're going to try harder when studying in order to pass the test, meaning that your chance of failing it is much lower than someone who gets told that 90% pass the pre-trip, thinks "it must be a piece of cake, I don't have to do any studying to pass it" and then end up with a horrible score.
CivilWerks Thanks this. -

Paw Paw, one question, and a couple of observations. If you sign a lease and do not complete, are you sued for the deficit balance? I have never worked at Prime and have never heard any thing good about the company. Your comments on are spot on about a rental or lease agreement. A legal business practice. Prime employs too many lawyers not to know exactly where the lines are drawn. (between legal, and illegal business practices). My observations are this. Isn't their business practices kind of predatory. Don't they target and aggressively market to the least sophisticated wanna - be business people (the most gullible and inexperienced Drivers). It shouldn't be a financial disaster for simply wanting a better position in life. Do you think their numbers they use in their marketing efforts truly reflect the economic realities of trucking as an owner-op. I'll bet a published and accurate success rate of their lease operators is not part of there lease marketing Department's pitch. Or is it simply a continuing case of lying thru omission? I've heard the stories of devastated lives, and the destruction of family's for 20 or so years now. Basically since Prime opened it doors. Isn't the end result of their lease agreement the little guy get screwed and the people pretending to be on his side in the beginning make a size-able profit. For me the truth is the companies like Prime are one of the bigger parts of the problems in the transportation industries. And they continue to operate with impunity. Paw Paw are you a successfully lease operator at Prime or do you work in their Internet surveillance and damage control dept?
20 years, 3 million accident-free miles latter my only conclusion is that they are all lying..Last edited: Oct 16, 2010

I spoke to a lease operator last week and they(hubby and wife) are very happy with minimal complaints which I'm sure are common in most companies...

Some of us are doing quite well. Others aren't...

This really isn't for everyone, especially folks with lots of bills and no savings, who can't run a truck efficiently, and have no clue about running a business vs collecting a paycheck.
