Problem with Detroit series 60, 12. 7 DDEC1V Missing when starts

    check your cam and crank position sensors. pull them out and check for metal filings on them If you do you could have an accessory drive going bad or a bull gear going bad. otherwise try cleaning or just replace. there about 90bucks each

    there are detroit program codes where your truck will only run on so many cylinders when cold, then run on all when warmed up. these codes can be changed. this is info I recieved

    The RTC backup battery for the ECM is dying, i need a replacement... otherwise the power is fine, an di haven't seen that code come back.

    Mine does the exact same thing but when the air dryer sneezes sometimes like its an air issue, been doing it for four years only does it every now and then

    They refer to it as a "half miss". The intention is to warm the engine up faster and as stated, you can just change the setting in the computer to turn it off. This setting shuts off when you tap the throttle so you can test it by tapping the throttle.
