Hey everyone,
i currently have have applications to both TMC and Mcelroy and having a difficult time deciding between them. I've had a very good experience with the application process with TMC. I am however having a few problems with Mcelroy. They needed my DOT long form and DD214 long form. Well I sent it to them and they said they didn't get the last page of my DOT physical. I thought I might have made a mistake so checked my email and it is there under my sent mail and I can see the last page. Not a big deal I guess, I'll just redo it. On my DD214 however, they said they need the long form. I tried to explain to them that I do not receive a long form DD213 until I ETS out of the military. They said no there's a long DD214 that I can get now. So just to make sure I wasn't wrong I called my Platoon SGT. and he told me the same thing. I can not get my DD214 long form until I ETS. So not sure what to do about that. I was leaning more towards Mcelroy because of their hometime but TMC is starting to look better because I've had no issues with my DD214 or anything else and they offer the extra $1200 a month with GI Bill. So I guess my question is, does anyone have any experience with DD214 issues and how to explain that I will not have a long form DD214 until my ETS in November?

DD-214 is given after you exit the military. Can you get a letter from your admin stating that?

Yeah I got it cleared up with the lady conducting the background check. So any thoughts on who would be the better carrier to go with?

just curious what you mean by your dot long form ? I don't think I sent anything I got form my dot physical to McElroy

Driver I see you are from Louisiana. Have you looked at Jordan out of Natchez, Ms? They have a lot of freight in and around that State. With TMC you would have to be out at least two weeks being that your South of Interstate 20. Boyd Transportation out of Birmingham, Al would also get you home in Louisiana.

well I live on top of I20 so not sure how that would work. I actually have pretty much decided on Mcelroy just gotta call them tomorrow. I looked at Jordan. Looks like they want like 5 or 6 months OTR.
