And FMCSR allows extending your 11 up to 2 hours due to unforseen adverse conditions but you cannot exceed the 14 hours .

 

Actually, here at Werner, it doesnt keep safety from telling you to move the truck on off duty time. Hehe. Infact, Safety/Some jerk that works where i parked the truck just about screwed me out of a 34 hour restart on my 48 hour hometime last week. Giving you a log warning and no disciplinary action is cheaper than paying for a wrecker.

 

they allow the same thing for the 14 too, just as long as you dont exceed both at the same time. Seen it on the wall at the Werner/Alco Duckwell Stores dedicated dispatch office in Abilene, KS.

Also, you can only do it once a week, and it cant be for things like rush hour traffic or road construction at the I-65/I-80 junction, aka, THE OBVIOUS.

I've never had a single company admit either one to me besides werner!
