I bumped into a driver that stated he was working out of the corpus Christi area. Does anyone know if this is so? If so, where do they park? I was told they only do propane. Is this a good company to work for? Thank you in advance for information.

PTI primarily hauls propane. But they haul butane during blending season. And they haul Hot asphalt in the summer months in a few regions. The company doesn't have mechanics or there own terminals/shops. Sometimes they park there trucks at Amerigas yards if the managers let's them. Outside of that they pay to park there trucks at gated secure areas. Out of Corpus the driver delivers from eagle pass to Victoria and everything south of there. Company trucks have driver facing cameras. But if you work for an O/O. There trucks tend to not have any.
If there are any drivers left that was around before the heritage propane buyout. They will all say PTI/Amerigas was a much better place. But since the heritage buyout it has been going down hill. Once the former VP stepped down. Then later passed from cancer. Its like there was so many changes brought in quickly. And several people quit, got fired over simple B/S, Or retired. And when UGI completely took over. Whew that's when everyone was saying the company was going to hell in a hand basket.
So the choice is yours driver. PTI is a decent place to gain experience in LPG hauling with the different products. But its not a place to be looking for a long term career.lual, Space Truckin and Cat sdp Thank this. -
