I know what I'd do with that truck! Slap a stainless reefer bed and make an rv out of it.

 

BINGO! I was going to do that with my '85 359 daycab, but ran out of steam. I've seen some mount a pull camper on the back, be an easy job. As far as power, if you go the RV route, there's no need for a big diesel, a Dodge RAM or even an LS motor would be more friendly. They were good trucks.

 

I'd stick with a 12.7 Detroit. Bobtailing, my mileage rivals dually pickups.

 

I want your dually. My ram gets 7 lol.....i blame the fact with all the crap on it it weighs 9876 pounds sitting.

That said thats a pretty old gal. She will make a good base for many projects.

 

No, I don't have a dually. I meant my truck gets better mileage bobtailing than most duallies get

I got a 22 gasser 3500 that gets 9 pulling my 50g excavator. It’ll get 15 with no trailer.
