I just read it, looks like 3.3% raise over 2018,2019,2020 based on 2018 levels, doesnt address PTF's, does address and keep in place the moratorium on HCR(I guess thats outside carriers) the attachments are not included in what I read and I am sure ShoNuff can expand on them

    LTL2PO Thanks this.

Looks like it's pretty much the same contract as before. No real shocker there

Now that the wait is finally over...we gotta go through this again in about a year and a half......

That is yet to be determined. The president mentioned that they will update when it goes into effect...which he mentioned at the end of the video. But if I had to take a guess...perhaps pay period 7 :dontknow:

    Shaximat Thanks this.

I finally got the paperwork to convert my military time. I asked for it at least 3 times. It arrived by mail, two packages but both the same information.

Glad we finally have a new contract but it's only until 2021. They should negotiate 5 year contracts.

    Sho Nuff Thanks this.

I'm confident you said you applied for a job with USPS in NYC. Not sure what certain area you mean in NYC where people live life differently but yes, I know racism and xenophobia when I read it.
    New York City demographics
    White: 42.67%
    Black or African American: 24.27%
    Other race: 15.12%
    Asian: 13.95%

Total raises by the end of this contract should be around $2.65...maybe $3.00 (depending on if you hit that 3rd step level raise). So anybody trying to figure out what they'll be making in about a year and a half...add on about $2.65 - $3.00 onto to your current hourly payscale.

Me personally, I'd rather have a 3 year contract than a 5 year. If it's a bad contract...at least you're not stuck with it for 5 years. With a 3 year...you get to renegotiate again and it may wind up being better than before.

Is any of this retroactive ? do they go back from when the contract expired and calculate earnings?

Yes they do. It'll be based off your salary. So you could be seeing anywhere from $2-3k + for backpay.

They'll tax the hell out of it though
