Stay off duty until that 18 reaches 34. That's the only way to get it back to 70.
roshea, Rusty Trawler, CrappieJunkie and 1 other person Thank this. -
Really simple: in order to do a 34 hour reset to restore your 70 hour clock you need to be continuously off duty for 34 hours. You've been off for 18 hours so you need 16 more hours to complete your reset.

Please Lord, tell me he's just trolling. Pretty please?
No one can be this ignorant on hos can they?roshea, Pmracing, Balakov100 and 8 others Thank this. -
Do you really need a fresh 70? You have that kind of immediate work and preplan lined up where you need a 70? Waiting for a 70 may mess up immediate needs.
CrappieJunkie and fargonaz Thank this. -
Goes to show they don't teach HOS or op was sleeping during that portion of class. If it was me I would have called the company.CrappieJunkie Thanks this.

With eld I wonder how much time they spend teaching HOS in training.

I'm not asking for ignorant replies such as yours. You can keep your super trucker, know it all experienced above all else comments to yourself .are you to help or make fun??? And there's a lot of others that are having issues with the same. I am new to this hos thing and needed help.

If the driver has been away from trucking for more than a decade, the 70 reset option is "unfamiliar" if there has not been any subsequent and recent "retraining".
-
What does eld have to do with hos training? It's just a different way to record hos.
And anyway, he said he was a refresher. I took that to mean he was a driver, then stopped for a bit then started back up. I guess if he's been out since 2003 it might matter, but even then he should know how to recap.roshea Thanks this.
