Question about 1099 as a company driver

    I know it’s pretty sketchy but is it worth it? Company near me seems really good 68.cpm pretty good home time

    68 cpm is doable without 1099.....

    It also isn't so much the cpm that matters, it's the amount of freight a company is capable of hauling, and freight lanes. Most companies are paying within the market window so it's competitive.

    Yeah where in my area I can’t find anyone above 60 to 65

    Front royal Virginia. I’ve looked into klllm everything is ok but I don’t want to deal with opti idle I got 5 years with hazmat and tanker

    If you’re seeing 60 cents on a W2 in your area there’s no way I’d consider 68 cents on a 1099. Needs to be substantially higher than W2 pay to make up for the extra tax burden, no work comp, no health insurance, and no recourse other than taking them to court if they decide to not pay you.
