Are those fenders just to look cool or do they actually provide an advantage? I wouldnt mind having the fenders that cover the entire top of the drive tires. I would assume they would make the truck more aerodynamic?

    They don't look cool.
Fenders on a truck looks absolutely awful.

I have them on my tractor.
I pull a high mount car hauler and they definitely are a must in my operation to keep the stones and debris from damaging my cargo.

Keeps more rocks or debris from being thrown from the roadway. I think if done right, they look cool. I like this kind for the drives:

Don't care so much for the steer fenders. I prefer the simple 379 design better.

Like Hulld says, they can protect. But for me don't need them. Probably 30% is necessity and 70% for the look. Had them before, brackets give out and bend or break. Usually in the winter when they probably weigh 120 lbs more due to slush hanging on them. When looking at your tires you cannot see whats stuck in them. Finding screws and nails before they get in far enough to let the air out is important to me. But hey, each to their own.

I have an 18” kingpin. 1/2 fenders is the only way to keep mud and rocks off the back of my sleeper and polished headache rack. I never thought of the fuel economy implications. FA570BEB-5F57-4F32-802F-F55953A9F04C.jpeg 7975A26E-616D-4ABC-982B-52AC01585922.jpeg

These don't look half bad. It's those full fenders that completely ruin the look of truck.

Yeah I like the drive fenders. I may get something like this

Give another reason for haters to comment about my nice truck over the CB when stuck in Chattanooga traffic.
