Is it true that dealerships just move cars from dealership to dealership?

And is it also true that each parking lot in the dealership is time sensitive? if they don’t sell the car(s) in enough time dealership just moves the car to another lot or market let’s say?

do you guys ever feel like you just drive in circles? do vehicles actually get sold a lot I suppose used over new? But does it ever just seem like new cars are always on your trailer?

and is it true that each car that’s on your trailer has an insurance policy for $1 million if it falls off the trailer it’s covered as if it’s in its own little accident?

What are the best and worst dealerships/manufactures to pick up & drop off at?

And I’m sure there’s tons of questions that I’m missing that you probably get asked all the time. Feel free to just hash out with me incase someone else reading like bro you forgot to ask lol.

Yes and no. Some larger dealerships with multiple locations may move cars between dealerships, but more common is for dealerships to take cars to auctions and vise versa. In short distances, they may have retired fellows or ladies that drive the vehicles to and from the auctions, and may transport the people in a larger passenger van. Each car on a transporter is usually covered for $100,000.00, and the transporter liability insurance is 1 million dollar liability. The rerason is because vehicles are classified as HazMat, but you do not need HazMat authority or a HazMat endorsement on your drivers license to transport them.
Usually the dealerships use a buyer at the auctions to find the vehicles and buy them, the buyers usually live near the auctions and may buy for people clear across the country. Several of the auctions also try to control who transports from the auction, Each auction can be different. Manheim is probably the largest auction company and there are a couple companies that have damaged vehicle auctions too, like Co Part and IIAC. You can usually buy a book that lists all the auctions in the world. To access them you need a dealers license or at least a wholesalers license.
Access to the car auctions is very controlled so not just anybody can walk around and watch. Talk to people and find out if they need help while the auction is on. Many auctions are set up over the internet where people can buy vehicles on the web. One other item is that cars can be run across the action several times before they are actually sold.
