Was interested in converting the tractor to trailer coiled lines to a quick fit connection / coupler at the truck. Ever broke an airline in the freezing weather and try to spin that whole new airline on to get the threads started on the truck side!? A quick fit connection would make for a quick and simple air line r&r.
So anyways, 4 state trucks has the fittings but they do not have “DOT-3” casted on them. I was under the impression that all quick fit connection / couplers must have that printed on it to be in code. Am I thinking to hard about this or is it not legal? Anyone know or got an opinion?
Thanks
Quick connect air lines at the truck conversion?

Just get rubber air lines and you will no longer have to worry about cracked and brittle lines when it gets cold.

I personally do not think that industrial Quick Connects are reliable enough for semi truck use. As they might disconnect
Oldironfan Thanks this. -
I have had much fewer problems with the quick connects than any gladhands I’ve used since 1992.
I will never go back to gladhands on my own equipment!!!!
