so I’m going to be quitting my job I’ve had for 3 weeks. Place is a joke. Training sucks and they really jerk you around. It’s incredible. Anyways, how will that affect getting a new job? Would I really need to put that on resume??
Thanks

It all depends on which no name company
Your about to quit on after 3 weeks. -
I once worked at a place for one run, 2 days.
It was horrible. AC kinda worked, it was 90 degrees outside, 89 in the truck with bunk and cab AC in high.
I even told them to keep the money from the load to pay for drug test, they did mail my check home though.Maverick Griff, FoolsErrand, rachi and 6 others Thank this. -
Most decent places, falsified application is gonna get you the boot.
I know when people start lieing about dumb ####, then how are you ever supposed to believe them on a serious matter?Queenlizo, Cabinover101, RockinChair and 9 others Thank this. -
I'd list it. Just explain.
Cabinover101 and Upinsmoke Thank this. -
Better yet, stick it out until you find a new job. Will look better.
JOHNQPUBLIC, rachi, Vic Firth and 6 others Thank this. -
Legally you have to list it. No use starting a new job by breaking the law.
List it, and reason for leaving is "Job pay was misadvertised" or something like that. Don't go a a rant at how bad a company they are, a simple not what was expected is better.Cabinover101, Upinsmoke, tscottme and 1 other person Thank this. -
How bad is it really? Are you new to driving? Bottom line is driving isn't hard, especially if it's dry van freight. How much training do you think you need? Do you feel like you need lorded over by a trainer for weeks on end before you can go straight down the road and back into a dock?
If they want to put you in a truck and run freight, then just run it.
Now if it's the opposite and you dont need weeks of training, yet they're forcing it on you and the pay sucks on top, then maybe move on. I guess it all depends on the situation.Vic Firth, Upinsmoke and DieselDrivinDaddy Thank this. -
My opinion.... For people who come from any other type of work the truck industry is disturbing, baffling, horrifying, and incomprehensible. I've worked 2 main industries- engineering and food and often a side gig 10-15 hr per week whatever, cleaning new construction or cashier or girl Friday.
Nobody else has the gall, the stupidity, the audacity to treat employee's so terribly and throw them away so readily. Or have the methods to lie cheat steal and intimidate former or potential employees.
I think a lot of the churn seen in early months in new truckers careers is due to the fact that we just can't conceive that it's possible, the bullsht we see.... I left Roehl convinced that no other companies would do those stupid things. How naive....Zoltan1a, FoolsErrand, Savor the Flavor and 20 others Thank this.
