Higher rates doesn’t equate to higher pay. Just means more to skim off the top before t gets to you.
Companies today don’t pay much more than they did twenty plus years ago when I started. Trucks have gotten more expensive. Repairs more (and quality down.) Food is higher. Traffic is worse. Regulations like eLogs are killing the industry. Pay though? Virtually the same.
Then they wonder why nobody wants to be a truck driver.mitmaks, joey8686, Mattflat362 and 8 others Thank this. -

Rates going up??? If you were hauling for 1 dollar per mile and now you are getting $2 per mile, it doesn’t mean that the rates are up ! You need to wake up and smell the coffe my friend.
When I see am average of $ 3.5 per mile it maybe ok, just ok .Mattflat362, KB3MMX, BoyWander and 1 other person Thank this.
