Hey @double yellow and @icsheeple. Are you seeing rates in the crapper also? I pull a flatbed and rates are usually pretty good. This summer I lowered my standards from $2.00 to $1.60. I've been home now for over a month and ready to head out and I'm floored at how low the rates are. Are you two seeing the same thing?
There's a load to Bozeman, MT for $.86 cents a mile. Really!!!! To a crap hole for that.
My truck and trailer is paid off and I have no bills. I don't see how anyone can make any money if they have a loan on their equipment. No wonder Swift cancelled all their new truck orders and laid off people.

I've never ever been one to join in when people say rates are bad but this is bad. The best I'm seeing if I dead head 300 miles to Scranton is $1.47 to Texas! Maybe I'm spoiled, I dunno.
