From what we have discussed previously, I'd take your job in a heartbeat if they would take me. Just left Knight Friday and only 21 months OTR exp. Are you not interested in Food Service or LTL.? I'd imagine anything that pays good local is gonna be Labor intensive. Sebring is a good drive to about anywhere. I heard MBM has a location in Haines City. Pays good but I don't think your home every night.

The ltl and food service companys wont hire a local driver that lives an hour forty five minits away. My job here at trucks is great but things at home are taking a toll on my wife she works full time with 3 kids going to 2 differant schools. Its looking like my days driving big trucks might be over I would take a job in a box truck right now.

Where you workin at now?

I am looking. Talked to Trucks and they still require 2 yrs. I only have 21 months.

I'm guessing commuting to Tampa or Sarasota would be too expensive right?? I think Dillon is still looking for tank drivers local but that's long days, almost like being gone... They took over some contract from CTL I think, always seeing ads. Good luck!!

Its not that its expensive its a time issue 2 hours one way to tampa 2 hours to orlando and you can plan 1 1/2 two 2 for lakeland anymore with traffic. Geuss I should quit my cryin I am only doing 3 days a week at Trucks now and still clearing 650 to 700 a week. But I start my day at 6 or 7 am and shut it down at midnight or 1 am and drive like 750 miles a day.I am lucky that Trucks works so well with me. Thanks for the replys.

I saw on-line this week TMC was looking for a local driver. The add said Tampa or Frostproof areas. You are not that far from Frostproof. I spoke to the Trucks inc. lady a couple days ago and she still said NO until I have the full 2 years in. Qoute: "Call back when you get the other 3 months experience".
-
That TMC run is all home depots, some single stops, some multiple. I think there was some tarping but you get paid for it I seem to recall...
Talked to them a while back but it's almost 3 hrs there from me!!! Too far to make a couple times a week....
