Funny, I just went through Frederick on the same day and I can't even think of where there's CSX tracks. Down by the B&O canal maybe? That's like 20 miles south.

Can't remember where it was (not NYC), but I went under a 12'6" at about 3 mph after eyeballing it and it was on a truck route even still I was ready to hit the brakes at the first sign of trouble

    DTP Thanks this.

I had a pickup in Cincinnati one year and had to go under a 13’6. Crawled under it at about 5 mph. There was a bump underneath the overpass where they patched a pothole I guess. Once I hit that, I felt and heard the top of the trailer scrape the bridge. Was watching my antenna bend like a pretzel hoping it wouldn’t snap off.

Closest I've come is 13'8". Crawled under that mofo letting the truck idle along in 3rd, staring at the lead corner of my trailer in the mirror the whole way through

I just don't see how this happens, aside from sheer stupidity. I had my CB antennas set at 13'7", and I ran the Windy for over 4 years. If my antennas cleared, I was good to go. Sometimes by an inch, but like they say, a miss is as good as a mile,,,only once bobtail, I tried a shortcut under a 13'0". That's where I got those "flat spots" on the top of the stacks, "Chicago stacks" they called them.

frito bandito, Bud A. and 88228822 Thank this.
