My 2 yr card is up in 4 months. What is the process to renew and update with DOT? I've seen "self certify" alot. What does that mean? Sorry for the double post. Not sure how that happened.

The self certification is when you don't have a card, you certify as being excepted, that is intrastate exempt from needing a medical card. You can not drive interstate, but you keep your license from being downgraded from a CDL.Sixela918 Thanks this. -
go to a doctor and get a dot physical, here in Ca we can turn it into the DMV via internet although I reccomend taking it to a DMV Office, keep and carry a copy of it with you, including the long form.

yes in az you can submit dot medical card renewal online.. not sure about if you are self certifying tho to be exempt from medical card.. theres a DMV in avondale az that does nothing but CDL stuff and they have a counter there that is strictly for medical cards.. may want to stop in and ask them.
