Retrofit DEF for CARB?

I'm not sure why you would want to go through that trouble...?

 

I looked into this........just buy a new coach with epa2010 motor and forget about it

 

I dont even want to begin to think about the work required for that retrofitting..... makes my mechanic brain spaz

 

IN the beginning. People were installing dpf and having headaches. Some even burnt down.

That don't appear to be the case anymore. Most were actually liking the results. Least, that's what they were saying on the radio. That could just be all poop talk though.

It took a few years for aftermarket dpf to be of use. It'll take a few years for aftermarket whatever to work for 2010 also.

 

I'm scratching my head trying to understand why anyone would want to go through all that trouble just to get into commiefornia.....

 

I wouldn’t even worry about it. CARB doesn’t check at every port or scale. I’ve seen them only a couple times.

 

And if you just ramble on in Espanol they'll just let you go anyway.

 

If the CMV is registered in California they have DMV suspend the registration or will not allow it to be renewed. I know of 2 bus fleets being shut down like this.
