That's just a preference. I claim one through the year. Then at tax time I add the family. I prefer to get it back at the end of the year.

    Ok I'm bored...one more....

Hey, Sparky, D- for effort, F for execution. Go back and read it again but don't skip lines.

I clearly said I could write a check. Why would anybody draw their own funds when a ZERO interest loan is available?

You definitely should stay in a company position. I don't want to change anyone's mind, simply lay out facts and not ########.

    Really? That's a "No ####-Sherlock" statement right there. Maybe that's why I get $1.12 instead of $0.40?

Split the fuel? That right there is why you should stay company. THERE IS NO SPLIT! I pay 100% of the fuel.

This statement shows your complete ignorance of the system. Please use a tax professional....and not H&R Block.

Lease drivers work for themselves. It's up to them to deduct the correct amount. If they paid in too much throughout the year, guess what, Sparky Jr., they would get a refund too.

Getting a refund just means that you either filled out your w-whatthe####ever form WRONG or you knowingly chose to have excess withholdings made so you would get a refund.

    Refer to the above comment.

Sorry, this time it's F for effort and F for execution. You and Sparky Sr. should team up.

Since I didn't go through a bank to finance a purchase I'm not locked in either. Please reread the thread title....I'll wait.....done? At JCT (remember the thread title?), it's a true "Walk away" lease

JCT has Freightliner, Peterbilt and Kenworth, no Volvos. But please, do us all a favor and stay company. Seriously.

TA (thank gawd I'm not a recruiter, I'd shoot people)

So you have a new truck, under warranty so @.09cpm you should have a considerable amount of cash in your maint. fund, why would you even need a loan? what huge catastrophe caused depleted your fund? ( by the way that's a free loan to the company) why would you put debt on your books when you have the resource's to pay? the interest free loan you speak of is only in your mind.

    No, I do not.

I did. Then I had some big repairs.

I didn't. That has already been covered, remember?

What difference does it make? But to answer; 1) transmission input shaft scored at the disc splines (clutch and shaft), 2) drive tires, 3) oil distribution manifold cracked. Replaced oil pump and rolled in lowers since it was open.

Maintenance funds are in a segregated account, much like payroll, and are not available for them to use. So, no, it's not a loan.

It's a wash. +$5,000 + (-)$5,000 = $0 and the reason was already covered. You have memory issues?

If somebody let's me use their money and doesn't charge any interest that is by definition interest free. That's not in my mind, that is in everyone's mind who understands basic math. Or should I say "maffs"?

Now, if you have any legitimate questions I'll answer them but no more of the pretending to be smart "gotcha!" questions.
