I run hotshot trailers out of Houston. Problem is I used to run Box Trucks, and the drivers got my safety score in a bad shape. We only had 4 roadside inspections, but the drivers did poorly. Epuipment was great. Just some bad driving/log issues. Now with our safety score we are being turned down by new companies, and even companies that have reviewed their current onboarded carriers. I’m looking for anyone that has leads to someone that could help me get another inspection. We’ve requested them at weight stations, but no one will help us out. We don’t get randomly stopped being bumper pull trailers on small pickup trucks which puts us in a position to where we feel we’ll never get inspections unless there’s a reason to be pulled over which is counterproductive to the inspection. Anyone that can help out please let me know. If it’s something you don’t want posted please feel free to email me directly at our website hanks in advance!

If this is you and that’s all that’s needed to kill your business others may want to pay attention.

Normally you would get flagged by the fmcsa for an inspection..so maybe a call to them asking them to put you into the system for an inspection.. All my inspections but one came from being flagged by fmcsa which led to multiple inspections within days until the 1st report got reported back. One was a random log inspection on the side of the road during the inspection blitz.

The other way to get an inspection is to screwup. Roll into a weight station heavy or with obvious violations..headlight out etc etc. These are the inspections you don’t want.

Don’t know how long ago you got your oos but you will get flagged again for a follow up inspection at some point.

Calling the fmcsa is just an idea to try ..I’ve never tried it but can’t hurt. All they can say is no.

    Good luck
