Swift is getting anal about roadside parking...I just got a call from my DM asking about a roadside parking event from 7hrs ago...I was at the Bozeman Pass, MT summit pull-off...3-4 lane-widths away from from the freeway:![]()

If it is legal to park there it should not be a problem. Did you explain? And what was the response?
Very little detail except for the complaining.
And of course they are going to call if you are suspected of parking on the shoulder, since it is a very dangerous thing to do for everyone. -
I did explain, no secondary phone call, so I suppose all is good. I remember this wasn't as bad an issue back in 2019 when I was here last.
And parking on shoulder is dangerous, I think I did it twice this year, both for blown tires. -
from what my dl told me was that swift had a few bad accidents lately with trucks parked on shoulder.
lawsuits too. so now they are being aggressive with no parking on shoulder, onramps, and offramps now unless you are broken down.Magoo1968 and navypoppop Thank this. -
If you must stop/park on an on/off ramp shoulder ---> BE SURE to turn on your flashers.
SAFETY FIRST!
navypoppop and dptrucker Thank this. -
Tiger Truck Stop on i-10 yesterday lot pretty much empty.
Swift 2 plate truck parked on on ramp with the windshield shade in place.
