I’m curios to see. Place around me said 190 a ton... I don’t see how these company’s can make any money then.. I’m not sure how I can start a Business. There would be very little profit

That cant be right. Maybe the cost of a total dump 190 when paying by the ton. 45 or 50 a ton ect..

I’ll have to call the scale house and ask. I need to do some thinking and see if it’s worth getting into the business, the only landfill somewhat local. 30min away is closing in 2024 unless they get the approval for the expansion. The other place is the one that said 190 a ton.
Is it a dumb idea to try to get into it? Or with the landfill closing soon would it be a bad idea.

Find yourself a transfer station or start your own, all you need is a building big enough to dump in. That's where the real money is.

You could go with a tractor and trash trailer and lease yourself out to trash companies. If your doing roll off that will limit yourself and dump sites are becoming scarce.

It seems are dump sites are becoming scarce, Ive found a 2 transfer stations local to me and the dump that should be open for a few More years.
I’m just afraid if I dump all this money into getting into the business and it goes south, my idea was to get into Rollofs and at some point get into hauling trash.

It's a large investment for part time work..if you can do this with cash and work a full time job then go for it..

I’d love to get into it part time, keep working my current job and then at some point expand the business and be able to go full time. But with the way the trash industry is going.. from the research I’ve done I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to get into.
