Hi, I am working on a quote for van freight. I am more experienced with FB Freight and have really never quoted round trips.
On a round trip with mileage one-way less than 100 miles, do you just double your flat rate? Do you quote a per mile rate or typically a flat rate? Also, in some cases the drivers will need to pallet jack the freight to the rear to be off-loaded with a fork truck, should there be a charge for that?
Also, is it recommended to charge a fuel charge that will fluctuate monthly?
I would much appreciate some feedback on this. Thank you in advance.

Seriously, how can that even be a question? Don't you like to get paid for the things that make your job more difficult and time-consuming? SMHBroke Down 69, nightgunner, stayinback and 2 others Thank this. -
OP. Do yourself a favor: do some research. Fire up google, and search for "accessorial charges". This has been your free hint for the day.Broke Down 69 Thanks this. -
