Route Advice Seattle to Austin, TX

Both routes are fine know them well. I wouldn't put in 170 extra miles for nothing. and Montana has more grades to climb.

Two lane in Moab is not bad. Nothing to be concerned about love going through Moab.

 

Ran the light blue many many times. Lots more mountains, wind, and bad weather going 25 up to 90 , although its a bit more peaceful as there aint any big cities once u get north of denver. Either way is perfectly fine.

 

The eastern option of the 2 routes is easy running.

 

Neither one. Take I-90 to I-82 to I-84 to I-80 to I-25 to I-70 to US-287 to I-35 to Austin.

 

I thought that was what the light blue, eastern option was, the route mentioned in post #6 of @Antinomian
His route is an easy drive. 287 in CO and TX goes through some small towns with low speed limits, so obey them, but otherwise it's easy.

 

It's almost entirely interstate. Plenty of truck stops too.

Don't go through New Mexico. It's bumpy.

 

That sounds miserable, I’d run through Moab
