Used to be, you had a hot one, you ran it out, and took a break later. I don't see how you folks can put up with modern trucking today, and want to make a buck, anyway. The hot loads usually made up for an otherwise crappy week.

From NC, I probably would have ran 40 30 20 10 8. And eliminated the laborious journey from flagstaff to Phoenix, assuming you could have planned your way through DFW at an optimal time. But that’s no longer an option.

Yeahhh... I wanted to go that way but at the time I wasn't given the option. I made it 710 miles and stopped with 2 minutes left on the drive clock/70 clock/all the clocks. I don't think I'll make it and dispatcher doesn't want to chance it so we're swapping loads. Ohhh well. I hauled balls so nobody can't say I didn't try lol. If the truck could do 70 or 72mph I would've made it.

The best freeways to run are totally dependent on the time you’re on them. The 405 is busiest freeway in the California maybe the whole USA. At 3am you can cruise on it on the governor. At 5:01am it becomes a cluster #### until about midnight. Crashes excluded.
40 to 15 to 215 to 15 would be my choice at the right time of day.
During rush hour just pull your truck over and light it on fire. That’s about the only choice. LOLbottomdumpin and Lepton1 Thank this. -
