Route Question 2: West Memphis to Houston

I always took 59, the road is long and annoying and takes forever to get off,

if you want to blindly follow the GPS built into the Qualcomm it will tell you to take 59

I also believe there are less scales on 59,

 

59 is the way to go. Just keep your ears on when leaving West Memphis to see if the construction over by Forrest City is all jacked up and if so, hit 70 and go around it.

 

I came thru the construction and it was 55 all the way thru.

 

Sometimes you can..It's a crap shoot.

OOR is no longer an issue for company drivers - it's not tracked for quarterly bonus or annual performance metrics. We no longer need to goat path it for no reason.

 

You will not make option 2 in 11 hours in a 60 mph truck. Lake Charles sux anytime.
