I'm looking around for fuel cards and I think those two are probably the best.

I live in southeast Pennsylvania and I'm really only looking to go to New Jersey Delaware maybe New York, I don't really want to go more than 150 to 200 miles or so if I can help it. So if anyone has any information for fuel cards for this area that would help.

RTS has a one-time setup fee of $75. Then you pay a $6 card fee monthly with 50 cents for each fuel up so that's 10 to $12 per month or so.

NASTC membership is $300 for the year if you do not go to their meeting. In order to get the fuel card you have to take their safety courses. That is a $100 setup fee and $32 per month.

So RTS will cost roughly $200 per year. NASTC will cost $832 per year.

RTS says that it's not always easy to compare because a lot of the bigger chains like ta and Petro Jack the price up higher and it looks like you're getting a larger discount than you really are.

RTS said the local fuel station near me average $0.21 a gallon discount last year. I believe NASTC has the same Sunoco stations.

He also said that if I go to Jersey or Delaware the discounts could be closer to $0.40, but then I have to figure how that all works out with Road tax.

Is the savings with NASTC really worth the extra 600 plus dollars?

I dropped nastc a few weeks ago. They were charging me $38 a month and I did the math and started using transconnect services. They have basically the same network. Most of the time they are 1-2 cents higher.
Tcs is a bit of a pain to fund. I use a cash back credit card and send it by western union. Western union charges $7.95 tcs charges $10 to receive from western union, but with the cash back it cancels out the fees.

RTS at one of the stations I would mainly fuel at is $0.27 discount today.

NASTC said $0.35 a gallon but I'm not a hundred percent sure that he meant exactly right here in this area.

I see. You might want to check out XPO discount program. If you're signed on with them as an approved asset based carrier you can get on their program through EFS.

There's a $1.25 charge per swipe fee. The biggest discounts are at TA/PETRO, so you're at least getting shower credits and points.

I just checked their price at the TA Paulsboro, N.J. It is $2.969 today. The best price they have is in Erie, PA at the TA for $2.8953

I ran for a company that used RTS. They push PFJ big time. You get 12 cents off per gallon there, and the featured locations you may get 50 cents or more off per gallon. They are some Mom and Pops that have pretty big discounts, like some of the stops in PA on the turn pike. The app will tell you all the best spots

NASTC does not have any extra fees. Just the 300 per year and you’re good until it’s time to renew.

To get their fuel card you have to sign up for their safety program. That is $32 a month. That is if you do not go to their class.

I believe there is a monthly fee for the card also.

Today they were $0.06 a gallon less than RTS at my local fuel station.
