If they can make a speed camera,
and they can make a red light camera,
why can't they make a rubbernecker camera?silver dollar, NavigatorWife, ibcalm19 and 9 others Thank this. -
Props to the CHP for citing some 4 wheelers.
That's a trend I'd like to see spread to other states......Bud A., NavigatorWife, cuzzin it and 10 others Thank this. -
Yup I read the title when I first saw it and thought.... Since when is it illegal to take pictures of a truck laid over with roof rafters.
Kudos to the police for ticketing the distracted drivers. Tho it seems like they may have made for more congestion. They should have blocked the view instead if it was a concern.NavigatorWife, Trucker61016, Flat Earth Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
California? Say no more. Probably will be used in an upcoming "Highway thru Hell" episode, ( think that's all real? Think again)and producers have deep pockets.

Nothing irks me more, than to sit in traffic for a hour, only to find out it’s rubberneckers slowing down for a accident on the other side.
silver dollar, Bud A., NavigatorWife and 9 others Thank this. -
They did that here in Saskatoon at a fatality wreck. They had a spotter take photos of license plates and of the rubbernecking picture taker. Then mailed the tickets.
Think they got 11 people at that event.Bud A., NavigatorWife, Magoo1968 and 7 others Thank this. -
Don’t worry , the police have solved all
The burglaries , and every other crime , and are now down to revenue collection for taking photographs while moving at 6 mph in the backup traffic caused by a truck driving too fast.
I see cops talking on their cell phones all the time while driving and also typing on their laptop computers while driving .
Oh right , they are exempt from all the laws.TheLoadOut Thanks this. -
Do you think they would still write a ticket if it were a wind up disposable camera in the rubberneckers hand?
Was it a passenger or the drivers with a camera? If it was a driver then I agree with a distracted driving ticket, if it was a passenger then it's nonsense unless the driver was impeding traffic which is a completely separate issue.TheLoadOut Thanks this. -
