So I woke up and it's 55 in my cab so I thought "great time to test the heater of this ComfortPro"
Yeah I'm not super impressed. Thermometer however is showing bottom vent is putting out 105 and top vent is putting out 101.
That being said it's 101 directly on the bunk area. Maybe a "softer heat" is what they were shooting for since it blows on you. It did get the bunk area itself up to 70 pretty quickly, mostly because the heated air is shot up here instead of at the floor and off the curtain like the heaters with the Thermoking. At the end of the comfort monitor cycle lower vent was 110 bunk was 105.
I will say its a heater that helps maintain if you're already "warm" but if you have been outside in the cold and come in and want a blast of heat...ain't happening. That and it won't warm the whole cab on comfort monitor because the heat that hits the bed hits closest to the thermostat. Unlike the other where most of the truck had to be warm before the thermostat budged. That was at ambient of 35. I'm sure at a lower temp it may fare a little worse until the ducts warm. Closing the inner curtain will probably improve things as well.
Grade: C.
If I had funds and permission, I'd probably install a fuel fired air heater.

Well, ain't this a son of a #####. I'm at the customer waiting to be loaded and the reefer decides to break down. It's not cooling and throwing the code to check refrigerate level. This should be interesting. Waiting for breakdown to call back to let me know if TK is sending someone or have to take it to the shop.
Update: They are sending someone out since I'm already at the customer. Talked to the customer, and they weren't mad at all, just said let us know when you're back up and running.Last edited: Nov 2, 2016
crxdc Thanks this. -
I hate when the break at the door. I had my glad hand break off when they took the red one off . so I was stuck till they came out to replace it.

Thermking got here pretty quick. Turns out the refrigerate hose was leaking. So, that's going to be replaced and the system recharged.
-
This is the hose that was bad and where it went inside the reefer. That is the new hose you see in the second picture.

Reefer is all fixed up and cooling faster than a Polar Vortex. Ok. Maybe not that fast, but it's now running strong and can actually cool below 20 degrees. Now I can get loaded as soon as they get back from lunch.
CannonballAA Thanks this. -
Not too bad of a place to load. It's an open air dock, so, no need to have the reefer running while being loaded. The closest CAT scale is 3 miles north on US441 in Zellwood. It's a little #### hole of a truck stop, but it has a CAT scale.

The place I loaded, they weigh you coming in and weigh you coming out. Tractor gauge was showing 30 psi so I figured extra heavy in the rear. Sit on scale the number shows 40xxx. Must be broken. Go to nearest CAT scale and yep total weight is 40xxx. That means the total load was only about 6000 pounds. Easy money....

Anybody have a new link to download the logs? I can't seem to get the old link to work anymore.
