Running with JCT, Part Deux

I don't run enough miles any more for the safety bonus, so, I'm not concerned about that. I never counted on it anyway.

It's also not counting as a preventable. I have proof (and now JCT) that I wasn't at fault. I confirmed this with safety.

There also wasn't any DOT involvement. So, no inspection and no CSA points.

 

So, I've been thinking. I uploaded the raw video for safety to use as proof I wasn't at fault. Glad I have the dash cam otherwise it would have been he said she said with no proof either way. I want to share the video, but not the complete 5 min video. This is for 2 reasons. 1) Everything happens within the first 2 min of the video. 2) Privacy. After pulling over, I was on the phone with safety (dash cam mic picked up the entire call) and don't want that public. So, what I'm going to do later (either tonight or tomorrow) is edit the video down and upload that as a public video on YouTube to share.

 

You may be able to strip and edit it in YouTube itself. If not, I just use Windows Movie Maker or whatever its called now for windows 10.

 

So I talked to permits and they are sending the information over to get our pre passes to work with nor pass.

So going up to the Northwest won't be such a pain soon.

 

I ended up using a free program called Shotcut. I'm back at US Cold in Laredo, Tx waiting to be loaded, so, I manged to get the video edited down and uploaded. You will see that they had all day to get up to speed for a proper merge. And the reason I was in the left lane was to get around another car going 50mph in a 60 zone. So, here it is:

I absolutely hate it when merging 4 wheelers can't seem to adjust their speed to match the flow of traffic and they expect us with the 80k rig to adjust to them...even in rain, ice, and snow.
