S60 - Glow Plugs/Air Intake Heater

    Hey Guys,
    1999 Detroit, Series 60, 12.7 :

    Recently started smoking A LOT on startup only, with stumbling idle. Then runs great after 30 seconds.

    I learned there are NO glow plugs, BUT does it have an Air Intake Heater?

    No. You're either dribbling some fuel or coolant onto the cylinder when it's shut down, or you have low compression.

    Thank you for the reply. I just replaced all the injectors and the ECM. Do you think they forgot the graphite washers deep in the injector cup and maybe combustion gases going up past O-ring and aerating the fuel? I am not losing any coolant.
