No doubt any of these safety sensors fail will prevent auto transmission from going into gear. Too many variables and problems IMO

Anything that takes control away from drivers is a bad thing, that includes speed governing

I guess there is a difference in perspective between a company driver and a person who employs 200+ drivers of questionable skills and habits and who has to sign the $5,000,000 crash settlement checks to outside parties.

Granted much of the technology is not perfect but after you’ve paid out enough cash due to drivers crashing because of stupid distractions, you’ll consider most anything.

This is much like all the posters here who claim carriers aren’t paying OTR drivers near enough but remarkably you don’t here of these same posters starting a new OTR trucking company and starting their new and unproven drivers at 60 cpm. The world is full of Monday morning quarterbacks and dreamers.

as an old hand out here, I say,

Take them off all vehicles, including 4 wheelers, then learn to drive!!!

no "info" centers in the dash, that take 4-6 taps to change the heat setting.

put the cell phone down, feet on the floor ,head out of your ##*.

My mk1 mod0 eyeballs are far more reliable than any computerized sensors.
If you cannot drive a truck or a four wheeler, then you don’t belong behind the wheel of one.
I still see wrecks and stupid stunts all the time from these new trucks with all the latest gizmos.

There should be a way to turn this stuff off if you have an experienced driver.
