Saia Teams

We interviewed with them a year ago. Made a thread about it.

Make sure to ask them about their policy on shutting down when the roads are bad. They were goofy about the way they did it.

 

Met a couple of their teams, pretty happy.

We hauled (contracted) to them several years ago - never had a problem.

Pay should be around 58-62 cpm, if not - check out ODFL if you qualify.

 

Which AAA terminal are you interested in ? did you interview already ?

 

Might want to check out Estes too they have teams. Good pay. Thing with them is they run twin screws. Single axle at Saia and OD might not be fun out west here.

 

When did saia quit running twin screws on their team tractors?

 

Oh wait, might be OD only, teams at Saia might be twinaxle. Solo line drivers for Saia out here do run single axle mostly out west. I don't see many Saia teams as I do OD.

 

They may run singles I just didn't know. I know line haul is still on the singles when pa worked there he had a single Volvo to run to Brooklyn in hated it with a passion but it was a good paying deal while he was there. I ain't been around there much so I don't know what they're running anymore but I have seen a few running around here and they were still twin screws so I was just wondering may be different in other parts of the country. I'll 2nd OD running singles though I pass enough of them every day to testify to it. Then again saia was notorious for loading a little heavier and not using their heads all the time especially in OMA. Morons sticking 3 1500lb steel spools on a 1500lb logistics bar still kills me. I ain't figured it out yet but I don't work there and don't have to deal with it.
