I will give you that there is not a set payment evey month, it is based on the trucks profit, the fuel surcharge being withheld is an all out lie, with that said I am done with this discussion, if you need to lie try to prove your point it is useless. Have fun bashing companies you know nothing about.

I turned my truck in and left. It's a walk away lease. Real smooth. They didn't give me any problems.

We love Sammons! If you look at your monthly accounting papers it shows where the fuel goes to the truck payment.

:biggrin_25516:Once again my question was not responded to. Why wont they send a copy of the lease for review by a prospective driver. The companies I look at to lease my truck to have absolutely no problem sending a copy of the lease agreement to review before filling out an application. It also provides the driver an opportunity to review the lease and formulate questions or seek clarification. What do these companies have to hide? There are many legit owner operator based companies (not lease purchase) that have no problem sending out a copy of a lease for review. I own a trucking business and I want to see the terms. On the same token any lease purchase driver should be able to see the contract in without jumping through hoops. This is nothing more than game playing.

In addition...any lease purchase worth its salt will clearly show the monthly payment without any extraneous number games or fleecing.....PERIOD!! Any extra paid should be up to the driver. If the driver is making his monthly payment obligations LET HIM DECIDE IF HE/SHE WANTS TO PAY THE TRUCK DOWN MORE!!

We like the flexible payment terms. We just paid off our first truck and leased another one. We did this in 13 months. We had the opportunity to look at the lease before signing it and could walk away if we didn't like it. noif it's not for you, then it's not, but it works for alot of people.

And what if the driver can't make the spelled out payment for the month? he goes in the hole and eventually can't get out. We don't hv that with flexible payments.

Well we all know that their recruiter told you that once your application was approved they would send you a copy of the lease agreement. But they did not approve your application. So why would they send you a lease, or waste any further resources on someone they are not interested in doing business with?

First, I never applied to Sammons.

Second, ANY trucking company worth its salt will let you see a copy of a lease agreement up front.

Third, allowing a driver or a O/O to see a lease is not a wasted resource. Remember, if you are doing business with someone its a two way street. Maybe they dont want to waste their resource or time with you. Nothing hard about letting someone see a copy of the lease. Many trucking companies will do it because they have nothing to hide and will put all their cards on the table. Its called "transparency."

Obviously you wont allow O/O or potential Lease Purchase drivers see your contract because you have something you dont want to disclose. Its that simple.

Sorry about that. My mistake. I had you confused with someone else who was complaining that he had been denied.
