About to transition as owner operator from aggregate to the oil field....

Interested in setting up for frac sand (pneumatic) hauling or Vacuum (water). Both require me to purchase a pump or blower and a trailer....any advice or opinions on which direction I should go? Sand pays by load....how does an owner operator get paid for hauling production water?

    Thanks in advance

    Sand.
from what I can see around Big lake.. you have regular cans, and boxes (sandboxes, up box, arrow box. they multiply nowadays, one big box, or 2 feeder like boxes). With the boxes you wouldn't need pump or blower.

    Water for truck is dead.
They ll mostly use water truck for odd cleanup jobs, moving brine to a rig or pulling unit or when pumps are down at batteries. Most of the produced water goes through pipeline nowadays.
you would be paid by the amount of barrels transported and then dumped at a disposal.

    just my 2 cts
