Does anyone know which companies offer settlements on week 2? We're currently lease on with Impala but the load count is paying their bills and not ours. Looking for a lease on that only holds settlements for a short period. We've found several who want to hold 20+ days.
Any help appreciated.

Check the Midland Craigslist. A new ad might be able to point you in the right direction. It was put in there on Saturday night. It's a long shot but it's worth a call.I don't know for sure whether it will help you or not but I hope so. Best wishes to you.

If you have remind them of this you probably will need to find a new lease, as companies that won't play by the rules will end up cancelling your lease just because they don't want the hassles of staying legal.
If they won't follow the basics of the CFR on this, how else will they screw you?windsmith, Paddlewagon and cprems Thank this. -

Just like if a contract stated that you must log illegally is not valid, or that you must rob liquor stores is not valid, you cannot entire into a valid contract to do illegal acts, or allow illegal acts be done to you.
Question the carrier before you sign, unless you absolutely want to lease on there and are willing to except those conditions, not being within regulations.
But once again if a carrier wants to play illegal on the basics what else will they attempt to pull off?
Try to think of trucking as a game of sorts, the only way you can win a game in the long run is to know and understand the rules.
The CFR's are the rules, take time to learn them, know them, use then to your advantage I promise you that the carriers all do.

§376.12 Lease requirements.
(f) Payment period. The lease shall specify that payment to the lessor shall be made within 15 days after submission of the necessary delivery documents concerning a trip in the service of the authorized carrier. The documentation required before the lessor can receive payment is limited to log books required by the Department of Transportation and those documents necessary for the authorized carrier to secure payment from the shipper. In addition, the lease may provide that, upon termination of the lease agreement, as a condition precedent to payment, the lessor shall remove all identification devices of the authorized carrier and, except in the case of identification painted directly on equipment, return them to the carrier. If the identification device has been lost or stolen, a letter certifying its removal will satisfy this requirement. Until this requirement is complied with, the carrier may withhold final payment. The authorized carrier may require the submission of additional documents by the lessor but not as a prerequisite to payment. Payment to the lessor shall not be made contingent upon submission of a bill of lading to which no exceptions have been taken. The authorized carrier shall not set time limits for the submission by the lessor of required delivery documents. -
