    As they should be.

Speculation is what drives the price up.

It does not matter if a Democrat is in the White House or a Republican.

If speculators drive the price up, then you will pay the price.

Go back and really look at the problems a couple of years ago. You will find speculation was a primary problem there.

    Repo Thanks this.

Of course they 'should', but when a Rep is in the WH, it's always the Reps fault, that was my point...It's not like they report it that way because it's true, god for bid,, it's just part of the agenda...

You need to open your eyes.

Everyone on here has been blaming Obama from the day he was elected.

I doubt the media actually learned the true effects, but maybe they did.

Fire in Saudi, raise the price at the open market. Within minutes, the pump goes up.

You are the one that is blaming the party and wanting to make this a political thread.

    Repo Thanks this.

And he's been blaming Bush since then! :yes2557:

But to your point, he took credit for anything good from day one, but nothing bad, go figure huh?

When I went past the T/A in Willington, CT (Interstate 84) the desiel price, was about $4.579 a gallon. Exact figure, I don't recall. But I am close.

Consumers see the costs go up at the stores. They then believe it's the store owners fault, I try and educate them why the cost of things are going up, many times they forget about how things work, and the logistics involved.

I wonder what our breaking point is in this country. Will it be $5.00 or $6.00, or even more. My wife and I are about at the end of our chain. And we live frugaly, but, we don't lack for anything.

Please, us lazy Americans will continue to pour $4 & $5 gallon fuel in our trucks and gas in our cars. Take mass transit? Or biotch and complain while driving my car? No brainer for me.

Most don't even know what speculators are, how world commodities markets work, why Alaska has some of the highest priced fuel in the nation right now, or why the price of oil is going up, even though Libya only accounts for a small fraction of global production.

Still trying to find the "price" of a barrel of "American" oil ... seems there is only one price for a barrel - no matter where you live.
