Speculation is what drives the price up.
It does not matter if a Democrat is in the White House or a Republican.
If speculators drive the price up, then you will pay the price.
Go back and really look at the problems a couple of years ago. You will find speculation was a primary problem there.Repo Thanks this. -

Everyone on here has been blaming Obama from the day he was elected.
I doubt the media actually learned the true effects, but maybe they did.
Fire in Saudi, raise the price at the open market. Within minutes, the pump goes up.

When I went past the T/A in Willington, CT (Interstate 84) the desiel price, was about $4.579 a gallon. Exact figure, I don't recall. But I am close.
Consumers see the costs go up at the stores. They then believe it's the store owners fault, I try and educate them why the cost of things are going up, many times they forget about how things work, and the logistics involved.
I wonder what our breaking point is in this country. Will it be $5.00 or $6.00, or even more. My wife and I are about at the end of our chain. And we live frugaly, but, we don't lack for anything. -

Still trying to find the "price" of a barrel of "American" oil ... seems there is only one price for a barrel - no matter where you live.
