Scammers use your public data from people-search sites to target you

I don't know how those public data websites haven't been outlawed, yet. People can get your home address and all kinds of stuff

 

Property records and vehicle registration are public documents. That is how these sites get a lot of info.

 

It is a little bit creepy how much information these people have on everyone. There was a pretty high profile case where target started spamming a pregnant lady with baby stuff...before she even knew she was pregnant. Makes child's play of J. Edgar's files.

 

Maybe she was Googling "how to ensure getting pregnant more easily" or "feeling sick in the mornings" or something?
