Jeff driving on paper logs doesn't necessarily mean you drive illegal it just means you don't have to rush things based on a running computers clock and nonetheless it's not like I stole from someone.

In this case drivers are being manipulated. I brought up legal action against them and only then was I allowed to break my lease. I talked to another driver who got a used truck out of my orientation and his turbo blew second day. Had to pay 4k of which SNI covered 2. You call that fair?

Anyways man you think you have it bad now with your dbl? Wait till you come aboard the " owner op" boards lol owner op. good luck Jeff!

I apologize I started this thread to inform drivers of my adventures with SNI and Schneider finance as I progressed but Jeff there began insulting nit only myself but these veteran drivers. That is what threw the whole forum off track.

"90% of the loads are over 30k pounds most of which are 40k plus. Avg load rate is about 1.30 cpm.. And I've seen many as low as .66 cpm???? You'll find some in Chicago area or other big cities that pay more for shorter loads but with elogs don't expect to do more than 2 loads a day short runs if that."

Knight rider with rates like that it was a blessing it only lasted 2 weeks......

Sounds like you would of been better off on the mileage program. You get .90 + fuel surcharge of .39 a mike loaded or empty

Believe it or not Matt I was thinking the same that the mileage one is better at least you get paid dead head and avg after bonus about 1.50 a mile with fuel surcharge.
The percentage stuff is bs in my eyes.

Cat sdp yes sir it was a blessing because look at it like this... Last week I grossed 3800 after fuel and insurance n lease n maint fund I got 435 dollars. Pretty sad isn't it?

OP, So sorry to hear of your bad fortune there mate. I have said it before though, leasing from the carrier 99% ends in tears.
Those payments are unreal. How come I am driving a brand new Western Star at $1500 per month, if their payments are fair?
I male more than anyone at SNI will make, and there is no way I would pay that for a truck!
Walk away from it, and chalk it up to experience. I for one will not star the "you should have checked" BS. Stuff happens, regardless of initial inspections.
You can go from 2007 and up emissions and be legal in Ca, so no DEF needed to still run there. DEF started in 2010 IIRC.

And no more village idiot? Say it aint so....sheesh, I leave for a few days while I am running hard and miss all the fun!
Thanks BHW, that was indeed a well deserving wave of the ban stick.

Usually between 6 and 6.5 depending on weight, etc. Can get 7 when all the stars align with a really light load, but that's rare.

They started DPF's in 2007, but many 2007 model trucks, including mine, have engines made in 2006 and have no DPF.

I don't have a "maintenance fund" per se, but my 2007 KW has needed nothing except routine service and minor stuff since I got it over a year ago. Yes, I realize I have been fortunate, but many, many drivers have very good luck with used trucks, at least to the extent they end up being far cheaper than a new one.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience, sounds like you got a lemon from SFI. But some of what you said here simply isn't true. I do almost all drop and hooks, and routinely bobtail into shippers. Yes, some shippers will turn me back, and I avoid them afterward. Most will let me bobtail in to pick up a preloaded trailer. The dummy computer program requires you to do the pick up and drop off MT tasks, but will accept the word "none" in the tlr number block. SNI doesn't like that, but it works.

I average about $1.45-1.50/mile, actual miles empty and loaded. I could average more if I didn't almost exclusively take long drop and hook loads. Of course, I hold out for good loads, I know when they normally get posted to the board, I know what areas are good and bad, etc.

But I have been very fortunate to have a low cost and very dependable truck, which as you know, makes all the difference.

So your making the same as a guy on the mileage plan. But you don't get the fuel discounts like a mileage guy does. I think I'll do mileage. More benefits less work and same pay.
