Where are you located at? You can find cdl training from a certified school way cheaper than 10,000. I would find one for around 2,000 as long as they are a certified school then go to a company like Tyson foods. Good training program if you get your cod through certified school with reimbursement up to $2000 I believe. Good starting pay once in your own truck.

    JJRigger Thanks this.

If this is in Ontario its like they are registering you for an apprenticeship. I had thought I had the same thing going with another company, we had been waiting since February for the governments funding, now they have it but no company trainers are available for when I get out of school. I would have to wait till maybe June for school and then a trainer afterwards. Also you must be talking about OTDS premium course, too expensive especially if you have to start at a low paying job and then try to pay off that loan.

Call Schneider and get the exact details, I imagine they will pay for your school if you sign a 1 year agreement to work for them after you graduate. I worked for a Schneider many years ago, I found them to be very honest when they hired me and told me exactly what I was getting into; I think they are a good company to work for when you are a new driver, they make every process pretty idiot proof. I bet $8800 is the normal rate for a good school. I paid almost $5000 almost 25 years ago.
