I’m non-union and I get paid for all my time.

And where did this idea come from that health care shouldn’t cost anything?

As a union member, health insurance is paid out of the total pay package to the employee; not straight from the employee after his take home pay. I'm sure thats what he meant to say.
And I'm sure that you do get paid for all your time, Mack.
But are you being compensated fairly?

Minor operational related grievances aside of course, I can’t complain much.

Why can't it be part of the compensation package?, executives have contracts to define their job and the company's duty to them, why can't a blue collar employee have the same protection?

There are still a handful of transport employees, as they leave they are not replaced.

So you think that you should have kept working and the guy that was there before you should get laid off? If he wasn't making production goals he would have been on progressive discipline, three strikes and your out.

    Tb0n3 Thanks this.

How many companies compete for your auto insurance/maintenance business ? How many grocery stores and restaurants are there? How many would there be if large corporations provided housing, food, transportaion,, etc as part of the benefits package - completely "free" to the employee? Now apply it to healthcare.

I keep saying that there are 12.

Actually that is in many executive compensation packages, again why can't it apply to the workforce? How many times have you gotten a raise only to see it eaten up by your healthcare premium being raised?

I believe the mods would prefer this conversation to continue in the politics section. Or pm.
