Are you talking about that riser that comes with the seat? I've put one in a Pete 379 and FL Classic. I did not use that riser. I just drilled holes in the base where I needed them.

Usually is just bolt the adapter plate to the 4 bolts in the floor, then the seat bolts to the adpater plate. You may have spacers to make up the difference of the thickness of the carpet or floor matt, so make sure they're all there.
Do not try to drill holes to make the new seat bolt to the floor, the bolts go into a crossmember for strength. I've seen people do this and the seat is bolted to sheet metal, not so safe in an accident.jjranch and CondoCruiser Thank this. -
I should be more clear. I did not drill holes in the floor.
icsheeple Thanks this. -
It has the existing metal plate that the seat is mounted to but freightliner said I needed an adapter plate. I don't know if I need to remove the existing plate and put the adapter in its place or set the adapter plate on top or bottom of the existing one.

I took out the riser and slider track and bolted the suspension right to the floor to get as low as possible and still have useable suspension. In an accident I don't expect to survive so I drive more careful.

It is the EZ rider adapter plate with the tether straps.

What's in the truck now should all come out from the floor up. The new seat should have it's own riser and stroke. The adapter plate is just to line up the bolt holes on various trucks which I think Freightliner is 1/2" off which is why you need the adapter plate.
jjranch Thanks this. -
Thanks i wasn't sure if all of it came out or id have to use it together with the existing plate.

Ok I want to thank all who gave advice it was much appreciated. I got the seat in with the existing plate and didn't need the adapter plate at all.
